The Austrian Computer Science Day (ACSD) is an annual event, with the goal to connect and strengthen the austrian computer science community. This event is characterized by comprehensible lectures by the top austrian and international computer scientists. The lectures offer a great overview on the topic computer science. Participation is free and a big thanks goes to our sponsors for the catering.

This year the Austrian Computer Science Day takes place on June, 15th 2018 at Edmunsburg on the Mönchsberg. Based on recent occurrences, there will be a lecture on security by one of the co-discoverers of Spectre and Meltdown. There also will be a ceremony for the award of the 'Heinz Zemanek Preis' for the best dissertation in computer science at an Austrian institution and a panel on computer science in schools. The ACSD sponsors are Google Inc., the BMVIT and the University of Salzburg.
